We soon found out that she was pregnant. She ended up having an abortion, even though I didn't want her to. It has been a year now, and I am not "over" it. I always feel depressed. I always think of what I could have done or said differently to lead to a different outcome. I don't know what to do. I will listen to this interview. I am really desperate. I often just want to die. I find myself doing and acting in ways that I swore I never would again. Two marriages and 2 divorces, and a dysfunctional family life as a child. I myself am a recovering alcoholic, attend alanon for those living with an alcoholic and I can't be happy in my own home. I really want to live in another state, near my grandchildren, but am afraid if I move and leave my son alone he will kill himself. He has tried 3 times in the past 3 months. HELP! I think it is interesting how no one talks about this... I am neutral, but I think if there was no shame that people would talk more openly about their experiences. I had an abortion when I was a teenager and have been very depressed my whole life... I think she is right when she says that some people don't think they have suffered enough. I got a lot out of this interview, and I think it was courageous and caring for Dene' and Jessica to share her story. I have already begun tapping on this and I am hopeful for the first time in my life that I can get rid of my negative feelings about getting into a bad situation so long ago.
